Christmas Vacation

Some highlights of our Christmas Vacation:

Both Bryson and Carter got black eyes.
Bryson tried to catch a baseball with his eye. That didn't go over so well. He popped a blood vessel and has had a spooky vampire eye for a week now with approximately another week to go.

Carter's isn't very noticeable in this picture, a week after the fact, and because it was right below his eye brow, not a ton of people noticed in general after it happened. I accidentally slammed his head in the car door. In my defense, I was just getting out of my seat and shutting my door. He was standing on the edge of the sliding door, and I didn't realize he had wrapped his body around the division between my door and his to look at something on the front seat. He was not happy at all with me after it happened and refused to talk to me the rest of the day! Later, he had a lot of fun joking with family or close friends that his mom gave him a black eye.

Another highlight of vacation was hanging out with cousins. My sister was visiting with her family, in addition to all the cousins that are close. One day we checked out a new-to-us park downtown that sounded cool.

Vacation has been filled with lots of this:
Caleb and I have been playing a lot of Wingspan. (And by a lot, I mean a lot.) We tried to do it later at night so we aren't being so exclusive. Occasionally Matt and Carter would join in on a game, but they aren't as obsessed. We got the expansion for Christmas, which added some fun new elements. We have also really been enjoying Bryson's Christmas game, Clue. This Christmas is my boys' first exposure to that game, and they really like it. We have also done lots of Skull King.

We also did a family trip to the temple to walk around and do a Family Home Evening. Child #3 had a bad attitude the whole time, however, as is visible in this picture.

Just a few more days until these kiddos head back to school!
