Superstar!
Caleb is proving to be quite the athlete. He has a lot of natural abilities when it comes to sports, but most importantly, I'm always so proud of the fact that he never gives up and tries hard each time. This past Saturday he had a particularly good game day in both soccer and baseball.
In the first 5 minutes of soccer, he scored three goals. He's doing a lot better about dribbling the ball and having control as he aims and shoots.
At baseball, each week the coach picks one player to get a medal for some sort of distinguished performance. Saturday, Caleb got chosen as the one to receive a medal for getting the most hits out of any player. He was 4 for 4 up at bat. The thing that makes this more impressive is that Caleb is doing coach-pitch baseball with 6 and 7 year-olds, so he is the youngest player on his team at 5. (We had to get special permission for him to play on this team...typically 5-year-olds play t-ball.) Also Caleb is just a small kid for his age, so this makes him the smallest kid on the team. But he definitely doesn't let it hold him back!! He was so proud of his medal. We love our little sports superstar!
