Adult Temple Trip

Cancún, Mexico

We took a couples' trip to Cancún in November. It was super short but also so fun to get away! We flew out on Sunday (after our flight got delayed several times) and stayed in a Hyatt all-inclusive resort on the beach. This trip is my first time to use a passport!

7 course meal that came with our room. It was quite the experience. The soup (Whispering to your Ear) was my favorite part of the meal. So yummy.

We enjoyed an aerial silks show after dinner.

Gorgeous scenery. Relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food. And I came home with some sort of stomach bug that started Monday night...

Ribbon Festival 2023

Caleb played in the fall ribbon festival, which is essentially a performance opportunity in front of a judge. It is an hour recital with approximately 10-12 other students all being judged as well.

Caleb played the Romanian Folk Dances by Bartók, which is the final group of songs in the last book of Suzuki (book 7). He is getting ready for his final book party coming up soon!

His first Suzuki teacher drove in town for the event.

Bryson's birthday comes quick after Halloween!

We also celebrated by going out to dinner as a family that weekend.

 

Fall Sports

Austin played his first season of baseball this fall. All his older brothers were very good at baseball, but we tried not to have high expectations. Not every kid is good at sports after all. But Austin crushed it! It took him a few practices and games to gain confidence and some consistency, but then he did really well for the rest of the season. He had the highest batting average on his team, hitting several in the outfield and 2 balls all the way to the back fence. (He was also the smallest kid on his team!) His division is coach pitch, and he played the pitcher position frequently.

Bryson had a winning season again with his team victorious at the World Series again.

Carter enjoyed another season of football at the Junior high. He made the C team (SIX total teams for 8th grade!!), but he was in the starting line-up and played almost the whole time. Carter played defense, cornerback. They lost one game.

Caleb continues to work hard in tennis. He is playing line #2 on the varsity team this year, and he is very focused and dedicated on improving. His Universal Tennis Ranking continues to rise higher.

Patriarchal Blessing

Caleb received his patriarchal blessing on October 22nd by his grandpa. It was a very special experience and one that he has been preparing spiritually for for quite some time!
