Momma's Boy

My internship starts in a few weeks, and I'm getting very nervous about leaving Caleb with his grandmas. I've already pushed back my graduation date a semester (now I'll be graduating in August instead of May) to try to make things easier for both Caleb and I. Caleb definitely is a Momma's Boy right now, where he wants to be with me at all times. Even when Matt gets home from work, he is only interested in Dad for so long before he wants Mommy again. It's kind of neat to have this special bond with my baby where all of a sudden I'm the person that can make everything all better.

For those who don't know, I'm finishing up my masters degree in Library Science. My internship consists of working 130 hours in a library, so I'm going to start going in twice a week for 5 hours each day. I am so fortunate to have my parents and Matt's parents within 20 minutes of where I live, so Caleb's grandmas will be helping out a lot. I think the first week or two will be very hard for both Caleb and I (as well as his grandmas), but hopefully this will help Caleb do better around other people. I always feel bad having family watch Caleb while Matt and I go to the temple or a date because he cries a lot of the time. He was doing better for awhile, but now has regressed since he hasn't been around people all that much these last several weeks. Here are a few pictures from this last week:

Caleb's new favorite toy: his rubber ducky. He likes to bite the rear of the duck and make it squeak.
Caleb makes the funniest expressions when he tries new foods. This is the first experience with green beans.

What a cute boy! I love the baseball outfit. I hope all goes well with your internship. I'm sure things will work out. There will be some hard days, but you'll make it through. And, if the grandmas have a crying child all day long, they'll be so glad to see you! It probably won't kill them either. Good luck. Let us know how it works out. Oh,
BTW, we aren't going to Houston anymore...well, for now. At last minute we changed plans and are hoping to go back to school. FUN!

I'm sure after a few times with the grandparents he'll be totally fine and have no problems at all, and then you'll be the one crying because you think he doesn't miss you anymore! Tyler has never cried when we have left him with other people and it makes me so sad because he doesn't even care that I'm gone! :(

I love, love, LOVE that baseball outfit, you totally need to frame that picture! Too cute!
