Yesterday was my last day of my internship! I can't believe all my 130 hours are now done. It seemed to go so slow at first. I really enjoyed the hands-on experience and the two librarians I worked with. Now I just have to complete my portfolio in the next 2 months and I graduate with a masters' degree!!!
Since I'm not technically taking this internship class until Summer 1 semester (they let me start early), I just learned of a new project they are adding to the class. So I had this last week to scramble to get this last project done, which involved collaborating with a teacher in the school and teaching a lesson to his/her students for 15-30 minutes. I ended up teaching about animoto.com and had the students create a 30-second slide presentation of a topic related to the Holocaust (what they just finished studying). Here's my example:

Wow Haley! I am impressed- you're a mom AND doing an internship AND about to get a MASTERS!!!! I am always impressed when I hear people have a masters because I think of how much school and time was spent to get that. Congratulations! You're becoming quite skilled with all these computer programs too it looks like. Cool. I'm sure you're having a lot of fun!
